TAKARA is a Japanese duo formed by ASHA and KOKONA, two artists who first made their names through No No Girls, the girl group audition project created by BMSG and CHANMINA.
During the audition, ASHA stood out with her unconventional worldview and tough rap skills, while KOKONA drew attention for her emotional vocals and expressive performance. Rather than being placed into a conventional group, the two eventually reunited as TAKARA, bringing together two very different musical personalities.
TAKARA debuted on August 8, 2026 with “Time is money,” a self-produced track that introduced the duo’s distinctive approach. The project became the second artist launched through NO LABEL ARTISTS, the self-produced label founded by CHANMINA.
Their debut arrived with remarkable momentum. The “Time is money” music video surpassed 2.5 million views within 24 hours and 5 million views within eight days, while reaching No. 1 on YouTube’s Weekly Music Video Chart.
Just 16 days after their debut, TAKARA released their first EP, 宝. The four-track project expands their sound beyond the aggressive debut single, including “明るい夢,” a more lyrical track that highlights the duo’s songwriting and melodic sensibilities.
